Welcome!

My name is Nivedita Murthy and I currently work as an Associate Principal Consultant @ Synopsys. I have been in the IT industry for 14 years now , consulting multiple clients on defining, establishing and accelerating maturity in application security . I worked on a database support and Business Intelligence project before jumping into security starting from doing the basics of pen testing, and then SAST and DAST scans to source code reviews, vulnerability management, threat modeling, risk assessments , followed by a few years in DevSecOps. Currently I advise our clients how to mature their App Sec programs and what to lookout for in terms of future trends.

I have a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology and did my Masters in Computer Science from University of Mumbai. I just recently got CISSP certified and was once upon a time was certified in CEH and DevSecOps Professional (CDP).

Outside of work I am one of the organizer’s of Boston Security Meetup and foster dogs for Last Hope K9 Rescue.

I enjoy speaking at different conferences, talking about my experiences in Application Security and any creative or out of box implementations that I have encountered or done myself!
